- The album was identified as the fifth volume from Polier's collection due to its strikingly
small format and the naturalistic butterfly images on the backs of most of the miniatures.
It must have been produced in Delhi between March 1776 and September 1776, as the
third volume (I. 4596) is dated 22 February and the seventh volume (I. 4599) 11 September
1776.
In addition to the butterfly pictures, the album contains numerous miniatures with individual portraits of unknown women, Mughal rulers and courtiers, five naturalistic bird pictures and twelve calligraphic model sheets with letter combinations (murakkabāt) in Nastaʿlīq.
